North Central APC Pushes for Establishment of Development Commission

Stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North Central region are advocating for the creation of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) to address the region’s challenges. During a zonal meeting held in Lafia on Saturday, leaders emphasized the pressing need for such a commission in light of the various crises facing the region.

Key issues highlighted include the dredging of the River Niger, revitalization of the Ajaokuta Steel Complex, protection of the rights of APC lawmakers in Plateau, and increased appointments for loyalists from the region. They also addressed infrastructural deficits, banditry, flooding, and other violent crimes that hinder agricultural activities.
