APC Wins Kaduna State House of Assembly Bye-Elections in Zaria Kewaye and Basawa Constituencies

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in the bye-elections for Kaduna State House of Assembly seats in Zaria Kewaye and Basawa constituencies held on Saturday.

Professor Balarabe Abdullahi, the Returning Officer, announced the results for Zaria Kewaye Constituency on Sunday morning. The APC candidate, Isa Haruna Ihamo, received 26,613 votes to clinch the seat.

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, Nuhu Sada Abdullahi, came second with 5,721 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Mamuda Abdullahi Wappa, garnered 5,331 votes.

In the Basawa State Constituency bye-election, APC secured 10,926 votes, defeating PDP’s 5,499 votes, according to the final result announced by the Returning Officer.
