Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, has strongly criticized former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other PDP chieftains supporting the opposition coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), accusing them of disloyalty and political inconsistency.

Speaking on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television programme aired on Friday, the PDP stalwart cautioned those aligning with the ADC while still claiming PDP membership, insisting they must choose a side.

“You can’t serve two masters, as stated in the Holy Book,” George said. “You either serve A or you serve B. But to say you are in A and B is a fallacy.”

George, a former military governor of Ondo State, did not hold back in his criticism of the ADC leadership, naming ADC interim Chairman David Mark and Atiku Abubakar among those he believes contributed to the internal crisis within the PDP.

He argued that the ADC-led coalition lacks the strategic depth and organizational structure to rival the PDP as a viable opposition platform.

“It is nothing but existential imbecility—or what some may call existential docility,” George remarked. “What exactly are they going there to do?”

He described the PDP as a foundational platform for many of its current critics, including Atiku, urging them to remain and help rebuild the party instead of jumping ship.

“This is your father’s house. The house that made you, brought you to the limelight. You gained every laurel and recognition from this same house. And because there is a little crisis, you leave? That’s not the cultural thing to do,” he said.

“If your house is leaking, you don’t run away. You are the landlord. Fix it.”

George concluded by dismissing the opposition coalition’s strategy as “classless” and lacking a clear vision or coherent political agenda.
