Dalung Defends ADC Leadership, Praises David Mark’s Integrity
Former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung, has commended the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stating that its interim National Chairman, David Mark, is a man of integrity with no history of corruption allegations.
Speaking on Lunchtime Politics, a Channels Television programme aired on Thursday, Dalung contrasted Mark’s record with that of some other party leaders, noting that “there is no video of David Mark stuffing dollars into his pocket,” a veiled reference to corruption scandals in other political parties.
Dalung, who served under former President Muhammadu Buhari, emphasized that the opposition coalition under the ADC is being led by individuals with proven character and credibility.
He also clarified that the party’s former chairman, Ralph Nwosu, officially handed over leadership responsibilities to David Mark and former Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, who now serve as interim National Chairman and Secretary of the party, respectively.
Dalung’s comments come amid renewed efforts by the ADC to position itself as a credible alternative in Nigeria’s political space.
