The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State has suspended Mallam Adamu Ototobor, Chairman of Ward 9 in Etsako East Local Government Area, citing alleged acts of insubordination and misconduct.

The suspension was announced in a statement released by the APC State Publicity Secretary, Prince Peter Uwadiae, who confirmed that the action takes immediate effect following a thorough review of Ototobor’s recent conduct within the party.

According to the statement, Ototobor’s actions were deemed inconsistent with the core values and disciplinary standards of the APC in the state. The party leadership said his behavior amounted to a clear violation of party rules and demonstrated insubordination to constituted authority.

“As a party built on discipline, loyalty, and respect for hierarchy, any behavior that undermines these foundational principles will not be tolerated,” the statement read.

The APC further directed the Chairman of Etsako East Local Government to ensure that Ototobor is barred from participating in any party activities—including meetings, events, or functions—until disciplinary proceedings are concluded.

The statement added that the suspension will remain in effect until it is formally lifted by the party’s competent authority.
