Edo Governor, Okpebholo Vows to Deliver 2.5 Million Votes for Tinubu in 2027

Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has pledged to deliver 2.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking on Wednesday during a campaign event for the forthcoming by-election in Esan Central, Governor Okpebholo praised President Tinubu’s leadership, asserting that Nigeria would be as developed as the United States if previous administrations had leaders like him.

“I, your son, have promised President Tinubu 2.5 million votes,” he said. “If Nigeria had two presidents like President Tinubu, the country would be like America.”

He credited Tinubu’s administration with stabilizing the economy, particularly through the implementation of recently signed tax reform bills.

“By the grace of God, come 2027, we will deliver those votes,” he added.

Since taking office in November 2024, Governor Okpebholo has remained a strong supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), aligning closely with the policies and agenda of the Tinubu-led federal government.
