Ex-APC Minister, Shittu Expresses Sympathy for El-Rufai, Offers Conditional Support

Adebayo Shittu, former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, has expressed sympathy for former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, acknowledging the political hurdles El-Rufai is currently facing.

In an interview with Arise News, Shittu praised El-Rufai’s significant contributions to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the nation, despite their past political differences.

“I feel for El-Rufai because of all he contributed to APC. I really wish he wasn’t facing these difficulties. If there was a way I could support him, I would,” Shittu said.

He also described Kaduna’s political landscape as fragile, emphasizing that it is too early for anyone to claim complete control or success in the state given the ongoing shifts.
