Governor Fintiri Declares PDP Remains Africa’s Largest Political Brand

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has reiterated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) remains the biggest political force in sub-Saharan Africa. Speaking at a meeting of the PDP National Convention Protocol Committee in Abuja on Monday, Fintiri emphasized the party’s crucial role in his personal and political achievements.

With preparations underway for the PDP’s national convention scheduled for November 15-16 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Fintiri assured full commitment from all members to ensure a successful and transparent event. The compilation of delegates’ lists is currently ongoing, with the governor pledging that no stone will be left unturned in organizing the convention.

Fintiri highlighted that new National Working Committee members will be selected based on integrity and competence, reinforcing the party’s renewed vitality. He promised a transparent screening process, inviting aspirants to test their popularity openly ahead of the elections.

Echoing Fintiri’s optimism, Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State, chair of the convention’s protocol subcommittee, praised the high level of enthusiasm and unity within the party. He described the energy around the upcoming convention as a sign of PDP’s readiness to reclaim its position as Nigeria’s leading opposition party.
