‘I’ll Continue Giving my Political Opponents in APC, PDP, ADC Sleepless Nights’ – Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has vowed to continue giving his political opponents sleepless nights, insisting his actions are anchored in upholding the law.

Wike made the statement on Thursday during a media briefing following the FCT Executive Committee meeting. He was responding to the recent confrontation with Lieutenant AM Yerima, a Naval officer, over a disputed land in the Gaduwa area of Abuja.

The plot in question, originally allocated for Parks and Recreation, was reportedly being altered by its owner, retired Chief of Naval Staff Awwal Gambo. When officials of the FCT Administration attempted to halt the unauthorized development, military personnel were deployed to prevent them from executing their duties.

Aggrieved by the interference, Wike personally visited the site with his team but was blocked from accessing the property, leading to a heated argument that has since attracted national attention.

Defending his actions, Wike said: “I have no regrets. I will continue to make my political opponents have sleepless nights, whether you are in PDP, APC, or ADC. I have no regrets, as long as I know I’m standing by the law. If you like, bring any ethnicity or colouration, it’s your business.”
