JUST IN: Ganduje, Ubah, APC Leaders Meet Behind Closed Doors in Abuja
A crucial meeting is underway at Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja between Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and top leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Present at the closed-door session are Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the APC; Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye, Minister of Women Affairs; Chief Basil Ejidike, Anambra State Chairman of the party; and Nze Chidi Duru, Deputy National Organising Secretary of the APC.
The emergency consultative session is believed to be focused on adopting Senator Ubah as the APC’s governorship candidate for the upcoming election in Anambra State. This development comes two days after the APC announced its intensified efforts to take over Abia and Enugu States in the 2027 general elections.
Although the agenda of the meeting has not been publicly disclosed, a reliable source revealed that the ruling party is seeking a prominent politician to wrest power from the incumbent APGA government in Anambra State, and Senator Ubah may be their chosen candidate.
Senator Ubah, who was re-elected to the Senate on the platform of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), defected to the APC in October 2023, citing irreconcilable differences within his former party.
