The New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, has denounced the ‘Ipade Imole interactive session’ with Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, labeling it as a frivolous use of state resources.

Speaking to journalists in Osogbo, the Osun NNPP chairman, Tosin Odeyemi, criticized the interactive program, stating that it had devolved into a partisan gathering for the PDP.

The event, held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, marked the second edition of the quarterly interactive session initiated by the Adeleke administration.

Odeyemi challenged the state government to disclose the expenditure for the program, expressing disappointment that amidst economic hardships faced by Nigerians, the state government would allocate resources to an event lacking substantial value.

He emphasized that instead of fostering genuine engagement, the session seemed orchestrated, with only pre-selected individuals allowed to pose questions.

“We urge Governor Adeleke and his team to cease wasting state resources. If genuine feedback is sought, avenues like live radio programs offer a more inclusive platform for citizens to express concerns about the governance of Osun,” Odeyemi asserted.
