Former Benue State governor, Senator Gabriel Suswam, asserts that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) maintains a unified leadership, refuting claims of factionalism within the party. Despite speculations of division, Suswam emphasizes that there are no distinct camps within the PDP.

Contrary to reports suggesting separate factions led by individuals such as Atiku Abubakar and Nyesom Wike, Suswam affirms that Atiku remains the sole leader of the party. Speaking to journalists in Abuja, Suswam underscores the importance of a strong, unified leadership within the PDP.

He clarifies that Wike’s role as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) does not signify the existence of a separate camp, asserting that Atiku’s position as the party’s presidential candidate automatically designates him as the leader of the PDP, deserving of the respect and allegiance of all members.
