The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the indefinite suspension of Senator Gbenga Daniel and Hon. Kunle Folarin due to allegations of anti-party activities.

This decision was approved by the State Working Committee (SWC), led by Chief Yemi Sanusi, following disciplinary actions initiated by Ward 4 and Ward 6 of Sagamu Local Government Area.

During a meeting held on August 19, with 16 members present, the SWC reviewed reports from the ward committees accusing the two politicians of misconduct and efforts to intimidate party members to withdraw petitions against them.

Despite being invited to respond either in person or in writing, both Daniel and Folarin reportedly failed to appear before the panels or submit any defense.

The committees further alleged that the pair harassed some members to undermine the disciplinary process.

After considering the evidence and testimonies, the SWC resolved to suspend both indefinitely, pending further review.

The committee emphasized that this action was necessary to protect the party’s constitution and uphold internal discipline.

Nuberu Olufemi, APC’s State Director of Publicity, confirmed the suspension, reiterating the party’s commitment to fairness, accountability, and adherence to its rules and regulations.
