The All Progressives Congress (APC) NWC has established a seven-member Governorship Screening Committee to review aspirants prior to the April 20 primary.

Duru assured support from the secretariat and wished the committee luck. Heading the screening committee is former Gombe Deputy Governor Joshua Lidani, with former House of Representatives member Bimbo Daramola as Secretary.

Duru emphasized the mandatory nature of aspirant screening before primaries, especially for the 16 aspirants contesting the Ondo state governorship election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has scheduled the off-cycle Ondo state governorship election for November 16.
