The lawmaker representing Edo North Senatorial District, Adams Oshiomhole, has criticised former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, questioning his ability to address Nigeria’s challenges.

Speaking on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television monitored by NIGERIA NEWS 247 on Monday, Oshiomhole alleged that Atiku, who recently joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC), “cannot fix his party, cannot fix Nigeria’s problems.”

Atiku formally joined the coalition-backed ADC on Monday, ahead of the 2027 general elections. Reacting to this, Oshiomhole said: “If Atiku, as a former vice president under the PDP, could not fix the PDP, could not reconstruct it, provide leadership, or leverage the influence he built, how can he claim he can fix Nigeria? Former President Olusegun Obasanjo gave Atiku considerable leverage and power, yet he couldn’t use it to fix the PDP.”
