Osoba’s Commitment to Nation-Building Leaves a Lasting Impression – APC USA

The United States chapter of the All Progressives Congress has hailed former Ogun State Governor Olusegun Osoba as a pivotal figure in Nigeria’s development.

In a congratulatory message issued in Abuja to mark Osoba’s 85th birthday on Monday, APC USA National Youth Leader Oyakhilome Bello extolled Osoba’s enduring impact on the nation. Osoba, who began his career as a prominent journalist in the 1960s before transitioning into politics, served as Ogun State governor during the Third Republic from 1992 to 1993 under the Social Democratic Party. Despite political challenges, he was reelected from 1999 to 2003 on the platform of the Alliance for Democracy.

Bello described Osoba as a paragon of excellence in politics and public governance, lauding him as a hero of democracy and a distinguished political figure worthy of emulation. He emphasized Osoba’s unwavering commitment to nation-building, highlighting his significant contributions to Nigeria’s democracy and calling for continued good health and fulfillment in his life.
