PDP Disowns Itodo Ubolo as Member in Kogi
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has disowned Mr. Itodo Ubolo as a member of the party in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
In a statement signed on Sunday by Hon. Isah Alhassan, the party chairman in Ofu Local Government, on behalf of ward chairmen, executives, and critical stakeholders, Alhassan declared that Ubolo is no longer a member of the PDP.
Alhassan accused Ubolo of engaging in anti-party activities prior to the November 11, 2023, governorship election in Kogi State, alleging that he worked for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for personal gain.
He warned Ubolo to stop posing as a PDP member to gain attention ahead of the forthcoming party congress in Kogi State.
“You have never been a consistent politician, changing four political parties within four months,” Alhassan stated. “Don’t disrupt the peace we have in Ofu PDP since you and your unstable associates left the party for the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Accord Party, APC, and SDP within four months.”
Alhassan pointed out that following the recent Court of Appeal ruling affirming Governor Usman Ododo’s election victory, Ubolo has moved from the SDP, where he was the Director General of logistics and finance, to start organizing PDP meetings at his hotel.
“You and your associates are attempting to disrupt our party’s upcoming congress by fielding your members to purchase nomination forms for various positions across Kogi East,” Alhassan added.
“I, Hon. Isah Alhassan, the Divisional Chairman of Ofu Local Government, along with the entire Local Government Executives of our great party, PDP, reject your plans.”
