Peter Obi Endorses the Julius Abure-Led National Working Committee

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, has expressed his full support for Julius Abure and the National Working Committee of the party.

Obi stood alongside supporters from the Federal Capital Territory chapter of the Labour Party at the National Secretariat to show solidarity with Abure following the 2024 National Convention in Anambra State.

Peter Obi is making his debut on the National Executive Committee of the Labour Party following the party’s national convention on March 27, 2024.

His absence at the previous convention, deemed illegal by the Nigeria Labour Congress, sparked concerns about his allegiance to the Julius Abure-led National Working Committee.

Despite doubts raised by his silence post-convention, Peter Obi emphasizes his focus on improving the welfare of Nigerians amidst widespread hardship nationwide.
