With local government elections in Plateau State approaching, Governor Caleb Mutfwang has dissolved the 17 Local Government Transition Implementation Committee Chairmen, effective September 6, 2024. The Transition Implementation Committee chairmen were initially appointed on June 9, 2023.
In a press statement issued Friday night by Mr. Gyang Bere, Director of Press and Public Affairs to the governor, it was announced that Directors of Personnel Management (DPMs) will oversee the councils until the elections on October 9, 2024.
