The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has revealed that some detractors are displeased by his recent reconciliation with his successor and suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

Speaking during a media briefing on Thursday in Abuja, Wike stated that peace has been restored in Rivers State following the truce between the two leaders. He accused certain individuals of exploiting the previous crisis in the state as an “oil well,” from which they profited through illicit means for their personal gain.

Wike emphasized that he owes no one an explanation regarding the details of the truce with Governor Fubara, underscoring that the reconciliation was made in the interest of peace and progress for Rivers State.
