BREAKING: PDP Expels Nyesom Wike, Fayose, Anyanwu, and Eight Others

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory; Ayo Fayose, former governor of Ekiti State; and Samuel Anyanwu, the party’s suspended national secretary.

The decision was announced on Saturday during the PDP’s national convention held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Also removed from the party were Umar Bature, Ajibade Kamarudeen, Mao Ohabunwa, Uwachukwu, George Turner, Dan Orbih, Mohammed Abdulrahman, Austin Nwachukwu, and Abraham Amah.

The motion for their expulsion was raised by Olabode George, a former national vice chairman (South), and seconded by Samaila Buga, chairman of the Bauchi State chapter of the party.

Bala Mohammed, governor of Bauchi State and chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, conducted the final voice vote that confirmed the decision.
