The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to publicly release the forensic audit report of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, Wike alleged that former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, diverted approximately N4 billion monthly from the NDDC during his tenure. He claimed the funds were purportedly used for training programs for Rivers women and were funneled through a company allegedly linked to Amaechi’s wife.

Wike made the accusations in response to Amaechi’s recent comments in which he described his wife as a successful businesswoman and “almost an industrialist.”

The FCT Minister further accused former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, of deliberately withholding the NDDC forensic audit report in a bid to protect Amaechi and others allegedly implicated in financial mismanagement.
