The executives of Birnin Magaji ward in Birnin Magaji Local Government Area of Zamfara State, belonging to the All Progressives Congress (APC), have rejected the suspension of Representative Aminu Jaji by the state chapter of the party.

Representing the Kaura-Namoda/Birnin-Magaji Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives under the APC, Jaji was suspended by the State APC chapter on Friday, citing alleged anti-party activities.

Addressing reporters at a press briefing in Birnin-Magaji on the same day, Abba Mamuda, the APC Organizing Secretary of Birnin Magaji ward, asserted that the ward’s party executives were unaware of Jaji’s suspension.

“On behalf of the 23 APC executive members of this ward, we outrightly reject the suspension of Aminu Jaji from the APC,” Mamuda stated. “We had no involvement in drafting any petition or suspension letter against Jaji to the state leadership.”

Mamuda urged the state APC leadership to reconsider Jaji’s suspension immediately, highlighting Jaji’s contributions to the party and his constituency.

Expressing disappointment with the state APC leadership’s actions, Mamuda criticized the violation of the party’s constitutional provisions and guidelines.

Echoing similar sentiments, Isuhu Masko, the Vice Chairman of APC in the ward, hailed Jaji as a key figure in the party, describing him as a grassroots representative and a true democrat.

“We firmly oppose Jaji’s suspension from the APC,” Masko affirmed. “We stand in solidarity with Hon. Aminu Jaji as our leader within the APC.”
