AFCON 2025 Qualifiers: Benin Republic Begin Preparations for Showdown with Super Eagles

The Cheetahs of Benin Republic began preparations on Monday for their upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Nigeria and Libya.

The West African side has set up camp in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, ahead of their first match.

The team is staying at the Sofitel Hotel in Abidjan.

Head coach Gernot Rohr has called up 25 players for the fixtures against Nigeria and the Mediterranean Knights of Libya.

The Cheetahs are scheduled to travel to Uyo on Thursday for their clash with the Super Eagles.

The match against Nigeria will take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Saturday.

Rohr’s squad will then host Libya at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan for their matchday two encounter next Tuesday.
