Former Super Eagles striker Daniel Amokachi has welcomed Tammy Abraham’s transfer to Turkish giants Beşiktaş, expressing confidence in the England international’s ability to make a big impact at the club.

Abraham, who was born in England to Nigerian parents, has joined Beşiktaş on loan from AS Roma, with an option to make the move permanent. The Turkish club will pay a €2 million loan fee for the 2025–2026 season, and should they opt to sign Abraham permanently, they will pay €13 million to Roma in installments spread across four years starting from the 2026–2027 season.

Amokachi, who played for Beşiktaş from 1996 to 2000, scoring 25 goals and providing 23 assists in 112 appearances, shared his excitement about the club’s latest signing.

Speaking to Süperbahis, Amokachi said:
“Tammy, I see the potential in you to become the next Black Bull.”

The former Nigerian international added that the Beşiktaş faithful would embrace Abraham — as long as he finds the back of the net.

“You can count on that. This season is going to be something special,” he added.
