Arsenal and Chelsea are competing to sign Julian Alvarez from Manchester City, according to The Athletic. Alvarez, 24, is reportedly seeking more playing time and prefers a warmer climate than Manchester.

Manchester City is open to Alvarez’s departure but has set a hefty asking price: £60 million plus an additional £17 million in add-ons. While Atletico Madrid has shown interest, they are not willing to meet City’s financial demands.

Alvarez might still stay in England, with both Arsenal and Chelsea showing strong interest. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is looking to bolster his squad with a versatile attacker after finishing second to City in the Premier League last season.
