Ayeni Enters Contention for Kano Pillars Technical Adviser Position

Former Akwa United coach, Deji Ayeni, has thrown his hat into the ring for the vacant Kano Pillars technical adviser position.

The position became available after Abdullahi Maikaba resigned towards the end of last season. Ahmed Garba Yaro Yaro took charge of the team on an interim basis for the remainder of the season.

Previously, it was reported that Usman Abdullahi, former Katsina United coach, is also in contention for the position.

Ayeni, who most recently managed Akwa United, a former Nigeria Premier Football League champion, brings his experience to the table.

The new technical adviser is expected to be announced before the commencement of the 2024-25 NPFL season.
