Ballon d’Or 2024: Federico Valverde Names His Choice for Award

Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde has chosen his teammate Vinicius Junior as his pick for the 2024 Ballon d’Or.

Vinicius had an outstanding 2023/24 season with Real Madrid, winning both the UEFA Champions League and La Liga titles. The Brazilian international scored 24 goals and provided 11 assists in 39 appearances across all competitions for Los Blancos.

Responding to an Instagram story from Vinicius and reposting it on his account, Valverde wrote: “Balooooon de oro.”

Vinicius is expected to compete against his teammates Jude Bellingham and Dani Carvajal for the prestigious award.
