Big Trouble for Man City as Injury Rocks Squad Before Liverpool Battle

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has admitted that Bernardo Silva is a major injury concern ahead of Sunday’s Premier League showdown with Liverpool at Anfield.
The Portuguese midfielder was involved in City’s 3-1 victory over Newcastle in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final, but his availability for the clash against the champions remains uncertain.
Guardiola revealed that Silva is eager to play despite the issue, but stressed that a final decision has yet to be made.
“He told me yesterday that he feels quite good and wants to try, but I honestly don’t know,” Guardiola said.
“It’s not the hamstring itself, but another muscle in that area. We will see how he feels in the next few days.
“Saying he ‘could be OK’ is not accurate. He is a huge doubt. Knowing him, he will try, but at the moment, I really don’t know.”
