Alycia Baumgardner and Gary Antuanne Russell have officially been added to the undercard of the Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis event, set to take place at the Kaseya Center in Miami on November 14. The announcement was made via a press release from MVP Promotions earlier today.

Baumgardner (16-1, 7 KOs), a former undisputed super-featherweight champion, is set to make history once again as she prepares for her first bout scheduled over 12 three-minute rounds—becoming only the second woman, after Amanda Serrano, to do so. Her opponent will be Canada’s Leila Beaudoin.

However, her participation under these extended rules has sparked controversy. The WBC, which has long opposed the 3-minute round format for women, appears to have maintained its position, effectively forcing Baumgardner to vacate her WBC title. Despite this, she will still enter the ring holding three of the four major belts in the division.

Baumgardner last fought in July, edging past Jennifer Miranda in a closely contested battle on the undercard of Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano 3. That bout also marked her return to the ring following a positive drug test—an incident for which the WBC later cleared her of intentional wrongdoing.

Meanwhile, WBA super-lightweight champion Gary Antuanne Russell will defend his title against dangerous mandatory challenger Andy Hiraoka. Known for his unorthodox style and knockout power, Hiraoka (22-0, 17 KOs) presents a serious threat to Russell’s reign.

Russell (17-1, 17 KOs) captured the vacant WBA title earlier this year by defeating Jose Valenzuela via unanimous decision. The win marked a strong comeback after suffering his only career loss to Alberto Puello nine months earlier.

Hiraoka enters the bout in top form, having recently scored an emphatic ninth-round TKO over veteran Ismael Barroso. He also holds a notable stoppage victory over recent world title challenger Jin Sasaki.
