Gradus Kraus delivered a ruthless performance in Sheffield tonight, overwhelming late replacement Scott Forrest over six punishing rounds at the Park Community Arena.

The rising light-heavyweight prospect had been seeking a new opponent just days before the bout, eventually stepping up to face Forrest — a natural cruiserweight with a reputation for toughness. On paper, it was a bold matchup. In reality, Kraus made it look anything but close.

Accompanied to the ring by his daughter, the 24-year-old Dutchman got off to a sensational start, flooring Forrest with a slick counter right hand followed by a sharp left hook in the opening round.

Kraus’s awkward, herky-jerky movement left Forrest baffled and unsteady from the outset. Though the Scotsman managed to beat the count and survive the early storm, the gulf in class quickly became apparent.

To his credit, Forrest showed incredible grit, making it to the third round and continuing to press forward despite enduring wave after wave of punishing offense. Kraus, now 8-0 (7 KOs), showcased not only power but also impressive defensive footwork, slipping shots and creating angles for his relentless attacks.

By the fourth, it was clear Forrest was taking sustained damage, but he refused to quit. Still, the fight began to border on uncomfortable viewing, with many feeling the referee or Forrest’s corner could have stepped in to prevent further punishment.

Despite multiple close calls and heavy blows in the later rounds, Forrest somehow made it to the final bell. The bout was scored 60-53 in Kraus’s favor by Reece Carter, reflecting complete dominance across all six rounds.
