Bruno Labbadia Reverses Decision to Coach Nigeria’s Super Eagles
Bruno Labbadia has reversed his decision to become the head coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, according to NIGERIA NEWS 247 reports.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had announced on Tuesday that the German coach would be leading the Super Eagles. However, recent reports from Germany indicate that the 58-year-old has now declined the opportunity to manage the three-time African champions.
It appears that the NFF and Labbadia failed to finalize a contractual agreement before the announcement was made.
Labbadia was initially slated to oversee the Super Eagles’ 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
As a result, the NFF’s technical director, Austin Eguavoen, may now step in to manage the team for these crucial fixtures.
