Crystal Palace forward Jean-Philippe Mateta will not be joining AC Milan after his proposed move to the Serie A club collapsed.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the deal was called off after Mateta underwent two rounds of medical tests on Monday. AC Milan have since informed Crystal Palace of their decision not to proceed with the transfer.
The 28-year-old was keen on completing the switch to San Siro, but the latest development has brought an end to the move in the current winter transfer window.
Mateta had been strongly linked with AC Milan in recent weeks, sparking speculation over a January exit from Selhurst Park.
It remains unclear whether the French striker will secure a move elsewhere before the window closes or stay on at Crystal Palace for the rest of the season.
