EPL: De Zerbi Set to Depart Brighton

Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi will depart the Premier League club this summer. Sunday’s league clash will be his final match in charge.

De Zerbi joined Brighton in September 2022, succeeding Graham Potter.

The Italian quickly made an impact, leading the Seagulls to their highest top-flight finish (sixth) and securing their first-ever European competition qualification. This season, Brighton reached the Europa League last 16 but are currently in 10th place ahead of the United game.

“Roberto has given us two excellent seasons of service, leading the club to new heights, including our first European campaign, which will long be remembered by Albion fans.

“We have mutually agreed to end Roberto’s contract at a time that suits both parties, allowing us the earliest opportunity to plan for next season and giving Roberto plenty of time to consider his next move,” club chairman Tony Bloom said in a statement
