EPL: Details for funeral of Diogo Jota confirmed

The funeral ceremony for the late Liverpool forward, Diogo Jota, and his brother, Andre Silva, is now set to take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday in Gondomar.

Initially scheduled for 4 p.m. on Friday, local priest Father Jose Manuel Macedo announced a postponement due to minor paperwork issues that need resolution before the family can repatriate the bodies, according to the UK Mirror.

A wake will be held at the Sao Cosme Chapel, followed by the funeral mass at Igreja Matriz de Gondomar, the Catholic church adjacent to the chapel.

Jota, 28, tragically died in a car accident early Friday while traveling in Spain with his brother.
