Former Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare has passed away at the age of 60, his family announced on Thursday.

In a statement released on behalf of the family through the League Managers’ Association, they expressed their pride in his footballing achievements as both a player and a coach. However, they emphasized that to them, he was foremost a loving and beloved husband, father, son, brother, and uncle.

The family extended their gratitude for the many prayers and well wishes received during the past few difficult months. They acknowledged that, while they couldn’t respond to everyone, these messages meant a great deal to Craig and the family.

Shakespeare also had coaching stints with West Brom, Watford, Hull, Everton, Aston Villa, and Norwich City.
