EPL: Manchester United Set Condition for Making Amrabat’s Contract Permanent

Manchester United have outlined conditions for making midfielder Sofyan Amrabat’s contract permanent.

Amrabat joined Manchester United on a season-long loan from Fiorentina last September following his standout performance for Morocco at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The loan agreement included an option to purchase Amrabat permanently, but Manchester United have opted not to exercise the €20 million (£16.8m) buyout clause, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Instead, Manchester United are looking to negotiate a new deal with Fiorentina to secure the 27-year-old on a permanent transfer.

Amrabat faced challenges during his first season in the Premier League but managed to regain form towards the end of the season. He made notable contributions in the final league matches against Newcastle United and Brighton, and delivered an impressive performance in the FA Cup final against Manchester City.
