US Equestrian Reveals 2026-27 FEI North American Youth Championships Dates & Location

North American Youth Championships (NAYC)

US Equestrian has announced that Traverse City Horse Shows at Flintfields Horse Park in Williamsburg, Michigan, will host the 2026 and 2027 FEI North American Youth Championships (NAYC) for dressage and jumping. The 2026 edition is scheduled for July 28–August 2, with 2027 dates to be confirmed.

NAYC is the only annual FEI championship held in North America, offering a vital stepping stone for young equestrian athletes competing at an elite level.

“Traverse City in the summer is an incredible place for championship sport. The mild temperatures, ample space, and vibrant local community make it a prime destination,” said Matt Morrissey, Event Director of Traverse City Horse Shows. “We’re proud to welcome back the continent’s best young athletes and provide a world-class stage for an important step in their careers.”

The championship will feature both the FEI Jumping and FEI Dressage North American Youth Championships.

Jumping Competition

Athletes will compete in four FEI-recognized jumping divisions over multiple days in both team and individual formats:

  • Children’s Championship (Ages 12–14; fences up to 1.25m)

  • Pre-Junior Championship (Ages 14–16; fences up to 1.30m)

  • Junior Championship (Ages 14–18; fences up to 1.40m)

  • Young Rider Championship (Ages 16–21; fences up to 1.50m)

Teams in each division are organized by USHJA Zones.

Dressage Competition

The dressage portion mirrors the jumping format, offering premier team-based competition for:

  • Children (Ages 12–14)

  • Juniors (Ages 14–18)

  • Young Riders (Ages 16–21)

  • U25 (Ages 16–25)

Athletes represent their USDF Regions in this prestigious continental event.
