Euro 2024: Carragher Believes Another Player Deserved Player of the Tournament Over Rodri

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes Fabian Ruiz deserved the Player of the Tournament award over Rodri, his midfield partner, following Spain’s victory in Euro 2024.

Despite Rodri being named Player of the Tournament after Spain’s 2-1 win over England in the final, Carragher pointed out that Ruiz’s contributions were superior. Ruiz, who was directly involved in four goals (two goals and two assists), also excelled in recovering possession, leading in overall recoveries (46) and final third recoveries (14) throughout the tournament.
