Euro 2024: Koeman Predicts England’s Chances Against Spain in the Final

Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman has dismissed claims that England has been boring at Euro 2024, asserting that Gareth Southgate’s team can triumph over Spain in Sunday’s final.

The Three Lions secured their spot in the final with a 2-1 victory over the Netherlands on Wednesday night. Despite criticism directed at England and Southgate throughout the tournament for their lackluster performances, Koeman believes they possess the quality to defeat Spain.

“I think England showed great football in the first half after going 1-0 down,” Koeman stated. “It’s football, and if you watch all their matches, the Spanish national team might play more offensively with wingers, great football from the back, and excellent ball possession. You need to stop that.”

He added, “But England is in the final and they have a chance to win it, maybe.”
