Finidi’s World Cup Qualifier Squad: Lookman, Boniface, and Others for Bafana, Cheetahs

Finidi George, Nigeria’s Head Coach, has unveiled his lineup for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana and Benin Republic’s Cheetahs.

Ademola Lookman, in top form after securing Atalanta’s Europa League victory with a hat-trick, leads the 23-man squad.

Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen, pivotal in their 30-year league title win and 51-game unbeaten streak, also secures a spot.

Notable returns include Udinese’s goalkeeper Maduka Okoye. The Super Eagles will face South Africa in Uyo on June 7 and Benin Republic in Abidjan on June 10.
