Ballon d’Or 2025: Rashford Picks His Top Three Contenders for the Award

Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford, currently on loan at Barcelona, has tipped three players as strong contenders for the 2025 Ballon d’Or award.

Rashford included two of his Barcelona teammates, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, alongside Ousmane Dembélé in his list of potential winners.

“Dembélé, Raphinha, they all deserve it,” Rashford said. “It’s hard to pick one, but they’re all mature and have had a fantastic season. Lamine is so young that he is sure to win it. He’s a top talent, a top player.”

All three players—Dembélé, Yamal, and Raphinha—have been named in the 30-man shortlist for this year’s prestigious award.
