CHAN Shock: South Africa, Nigeria Among 9 Nations Knocked Out [Full List]

South Africa has been eliminated from the ongoing CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN), joining eight other countries out of the competition.

According to Nigeria News 247, South Africa, along with Mauritania, Guinea, Angola, Central African Republic, Zambia, Nigeria, Niger Republic, and Burkina Faso, have all exited CHAN.

South Africa’s fate was sealed after a thrilling 3-3 draw against Uganda in their final Group C match on Monday.

Uganda topped Group C with seven points from four games, while Algeria finished second with six points. South Africa also ended with six points but fell short due to an inferior goal difference. Guinea and Niger placed fourth and fifth with four and two points respectively.

More group-stage matches are scheduled for Tuesday, with Nigeria set to face Congo and Sudan to play against Senegal.
