Former Chelsea midfielder, Craig Burley has singled out Manchester United forwards Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo for praise following their performance in the club’s narrow 1-0 loss to Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.

Burley, speaking on ESPN FC, said both players posed a real threat to Arsenal’s defense, particularly during moments in the first half.

“What Manchester United have shown against Arsenal is that they are definitely more dangerous with that front line,” Burley said. “Cunha and Mbeumo were a threat, and there were a couple of instances in the first half where they exploited space out wide—especially when Calafiori pushed into midfield and left gaps behind.”

However, Burley also pointed out a lack of presence in the penalty area during those key moments: “There was nobody in the box to finish the move. No striker to deliver the final touch.”

Arsenal secured the win at Old Trafford thanks to a first-half goal from Riccardo Calafiori.

It’s worth noting that Manchester United recently signed Cunha and Mbeumo from Wolves and Brentford, respectively, during the current summer transfer window.
