Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola is preparing to trim his squad this summer, with at least six players set to leave the club, according to Goal.

The players reportedly on the chopping block include Ederson, Nathan Ake, Joshua Wilson-Esbrand, Claudio Echeverri, Kalvin Phillips, and Savinho.

Despite City’s dominant 4-0 victory over Wolves in their Premier League opener last weekend, Guardiola expressed concerns about the size of his squad, calling it “bloated.”

Notably, goalkeeper Ederson was left out of the matchday squad amid ongoing transfer talks with Turkish side Galatasaray. Winger Savinho was also omitted, with Tottenham Hotspur showing strong interest in signing him.

Midfielder Kalvin Phillips, who has previously been loaned out to Ipswich Town and West Ham, could now leave on a permanent basis.

Defender Nathan Ake, young full-back Wilson-Esbrand, and Argentine prospect Claudio Echeverri are all considered surplus to requirements as Guardiola reshapes his squad ahead of the new season.
