Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane praised three Manchester City players following their dominant derby victory on Sunday.

City secured a 3-0 win over United at the Etihad, marking only their second win of the season. Phil Foden opened the scoring in the first half, and Erling Haaland sealed the win with two goals after halftime.

Manager Pep Guardiola also gave a debut to new goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who transferred from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

“Manchester City were very good,” Keane told Sky Sports. “It was a big day for Haaland. Foden’s goal was important, and Donnarumma had a solid debut.

“It’s all positive for City. They scored three and could have scored even more. “It feels like they’ve had a fresh start. The international break came at the perfect time for them. “There’s definitely a different energy today. This was a crucial win and a strong statement,” Keane added.
