Al-Nassr manager, Jorge Jesus has hailed Cristiano Ronaldo as an example to the football world following the 40-year-old star’s selfless performance in Al-Nassr’s Saudi Super Cup victory on Tuesday night.

Despite being in the twilight of his career, Ronaldo showed no signs of slowing down. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has scored 938 goals in 1,281 appearances for club and country.

Jesus noted that 80% of fans attending Al-Nassr matches come to see Ronaldo, emphasizing his global impact. “Ronaldo is a great example for world football, a 40-year-old player who delivers athletic and physical performance,” Jesus said, according to Sportskeeda.

In the semi-final against Al-Ittihad, Ronaldo notably chose to assist teammate Joao Felix, who scored the winning goal, showcasing his unselfishness on the pitch.

Since joining Al-Nassr in 2022, Ronaldo has helped raise the profile of Middle Eastern football, coinciding with high-profile signings like Felix and Inigo Martinez as the club chases the Pro League title.
