LaLiga: Vinicius Jr.’s Future at Real Madrid Uncertain as Contract Negotiations Stall
Uncertainty is growing around the future of Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior after negotiations over a contract extension hit a deadlock, according to ESPN.
Talks between the club and the Brazilian’s representatives have stalled for weeks, with his agents rejecting Madrid’s latest offer.
Vinicius, 25, is currently under contract until June 2027 and reportedly earns around €17 million net per year, including bonuses. His camp had been pushing for a raise to a fixed €20 million salary, with performance-related bonuses that could bring the total to €30 million annually.
However, Real Madrid’s final proposal was limited to a €20 million flat salary, without the additional €10 million in incentives. As a result, Vinicius’ agents have not agreed to the proposed three-year extension that would keep him at the club until 2030.
The impasse raises questions over the long-term future of one of Madrid’s most important players.
