Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been described as “arrogant” by former Osasuna striker Walter Pandiani, who recalled a heated clash with the Portuguese star during a 2011 La Liga encounter.

In an interview with AS, quoted by Sportskeeda, Pandiani recounted a fiery exchange with Ronaldo while playing for Osasuna. He claimed that tensions flared when Ronaldo reacted angrily to hostile treatment from the crowd at El Sadar Stadium.

“The crowd at El Sadar is very aggressive, and they were whistling and insulting him from the moment he came out to warm up,” Pandiani said. “That p***ed him off, and while practising free kicks, he was shooting at the crowd.”

According to Pandiani, the situation escalated after Ronaldo pushed his teammate, Javier Camuñas. “I went to defend him, and Ronaldo asked me who I was and how much I earned. The brawl continued in the tunnel with him and Sergio Ramos,” he added.

“He was an arrogant guy. As a goalscorer, he was tremendous, but his behaviour left a lot to be desired.”

Ironically, Camuñas later scored the only goal of the match, sealing a 1-0 win for Osasuna over Real Madrid.
