Ronaldo or Messi? Jones Reveals His Choice in the GOAT Debate

Former Manchester United defender Phil Jones has weighed in on the long-running debate over who is the greatest footballer of all time: Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.

Jones, 33, played alongside Ronaldo at Manchester United and faced Messi in UEFA Champions League encounters against Barcelona.

When asked to choose between the two superstars, Jones sided with the Portugal captain. Speaking to ESPN UK, he said: “Picking between Ronaldo and Messi is like choosing between your mum and your dad. I will go with Cristiano.”

Ronaldo and Messi are widely regarded as two of the greatest footballers ever, having collectively won 13 Ballon d’Or awards over their careers.
